Mark E. Ricardo is the founder, President and Chief Investment Officer of MER Capital Management. Prior to starting the company, Mr. Ricardo practiced corporate finance, commercial real estate and tax law with the international law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP. He also was the founding principal and Chief Investment Officer of Tiber Creek Investment Management. In this capacity, Mr. Ricardo was responsible for all aspects of investment portfolio development and implementation for a select group of high net worth individuals.

Mr. Ricardo is an honors graduate of Wake Forest University and Syracuse University College of Law. He also received a joint LLM in Taxation and Securities & Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Ricardo has successfully completed the Series 65 registered investment advisor representative examination and is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist® by the College for Financial Planning. He also is a practicing attorney with REC Law Group.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Ricardo is an avid collector of fine wine and is the author of Simply Burgundy: “A Practical Guide to Understanding the Wines of Burgundy.” He also actively supports charitable causes and is a former board member of the Forum for Youth Investment and the Latino Student Fund.
